Reading and Learning.

Considering the economic disparity among the country men e-books provide a cheap way of achieving the goal of learning.
Moreover, individuals have attitudes with regard to reading are social, personal, reflective, recreational. These functions in regard to book reading along with the high costs of book, and governments lack of attention has led to overall demise of book reading culture.
Reading as a cultural phenomenon with support from provincial governments has been seen to promote book reading. Example is the famous Hunza Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan. Where civil society has set up community libraries in almost each village with help of village based community organizations. Complimenting this the provincial government has kept the Municipal Library in a very good condition. However, because of lack of attention given to the book reading culture and lack of facilities provided to the public in the form of libraries, the print book industry has seen demise in the country.
The trend mentioned in the technological factors which predicts the demise of e-books in the coming years and also the use of social media can be clearly seen as more and more Facebook pages have emerged pertaining to sale of books in bulk and at discounted rates for customers to value book reading and develop a market for physical books.  Also, more startups have emerged, which focuses on selling of printed books. College and University going students sell their books at cheap prices or throw them in trash after they are done with their semester. This happens mainly because they do not have any platform to give their books away.
